Coming Home

I’ve been in detroit for the past two weeks, it’s been pretty boring up here. We were hoping the red wings would win the stanley cup and I would be jumping up and down but it ended in an angry drunk night. When I get back to Florida I get this sick new computer.

I’m going to try some modelling in my free time and maybe some web development. But I’ll be pretty busy doing shit this summer to make up for these horrible unwillingly wasted two weeks so I might just blow some of the computer stuff off. I’ll update this if I make anything cool when I come back on the 23rd

The Desiring of Moneys

Since I last posted a while ago I officially revived PSW2 for real this time. The reason for me actually caring this time is that sassafrass supposedly made 13,000 $’s

Pirate Ship Wars 2 will have a lobby system similiar to sassilization but still with major differences. I really want to stress the need for “plunder”, which is money in the pirate server chain. A huge thing that goes into consideration is the soon to be paid members, but this is just day dreaming of the future. There is still plenty to do before all this. Today I got SQL set up to a website and soon to be forums, this means if I make you admin on forums you’ll be admin on server. Stats can already be saved on multiple servers. And on great news Jaanus is doing the models for the pirate ship.

Day’s Work

I was working on Terminal TD when Gimmik told me that the facepunch server is playing dodgeball so I hopped in and I received a usual complaint that you needed Orangebox textures. Today I actually did something about, I decompiled it and retextured it completely, I also made a half court version of the map but hammer crashed in it (someone told me it auto saves but I can’t find it). You guys can find the new version on the offical garry’s mod svn or just wait until garry updates the facepunch fretta server. I added a mouse cursor and I’m getting somewhere with spawning towers, I originally planned to get a lot more done today but I have some homework I was blowing off.

Also in sad news kris hasn’t really responded, he was the guy that is suppose to do the models for psw2. I’m guessing he just wussed out concidering it’s a huge job.

XNA Test/PSW2

Introducing my next, next gen title Terminal TD (click here)!

As you can obviously see this will be the next killer app of our age. I decided to go with XNA because I’ll get a basic understanding so far I made a background, a tower and an evil. The evil guy kind of just runs off the map right now but it’s all good. I’ll post more tomorrow. In other news PSW might be revived a guy named Kris said he’ll do the modeling part which is basically all that’s left for PSW2.

Setup/New Projects

I set my site up again, I’m actually going to start posting now. Anyways I’m going to make a new game just for practice I’m thinking just a TD (tower defense). I haven’t fully decided how to do this, I might go with XNA or get some free engine but what would I have learned? I might end up making my own engine. The main reason I’m doing this is so I can make some game that can really get a user base in the future, after all my main dream is to have some user base that I can pitch my crappy games too sort of like a community.
